Soldier is a fantastic book. But it has some items that are unusual for a VN War book. First, the author's story is from am officer's perspective. He is a Lt. Col. in VN in IG and command assignments.

Second, you get to hear his incredible experiences as a child in WV and as an enlisted soldier /5(54). A Soldier's Book was a powerful and exciting story about the Civil War.
